AppleJazz

AppleJazz since 1985

Celebrating 41 years of AppleJazz.. The record label, the festival, the events, the publishing and the brand!

AppleJazz Records began as a way for Charlie Bertini to promote the recordings of his “AppleJazz Band”, a festival band that began in 1984 and performed once a year at the AppleJazz Festival in Preble, New York (upstate). This concert was recorded “live” each year, and much of the recorded material is well worth releasing.

Producing these recordings led Charlie to begin producing albums and concerts for other artists, labels and festivals, turning AppleJazz into a business that deals with many facets of the entertainment industry.

“Throughout my life I have enjoyed countless Gershwin concerts around the world, and I can truly say that Michael Andrew is one of the most talented entertainers I have ever seen. His ability to interpret the music of George Gershwin is extraordinary.” – TODD GERSHWIN

This album pays tribute to Gershwin with a variety of songs and styles in both vocals and instrumentals. Michael is joined by vocalist Michelle Amato for several duets. The result is a clean and elegant presentation of these classics. Presented in both stereo and Atmos, this album can be heard in high resolution on all platforms.
